THE TOUR
I’m excited to share the journey behind the Make It Change Tour 2025. This tour has been a long time coming, and I want to take you through how it all started, what it means, and what I’m planning for next year.
How It All Began
The idea for this tour first came to me in 2015 when I was living in New York. I had this dream of touring across the country by myself as an electronic music DJ (3ple), but things didn’t fall into place back then. Fast forward to 2017, I met a singer named Laurelle, and we realized we shared similar goals, so I proposed doing the tour together—she was on board. We immediately started planning everything together, contacting venues, and even using Couchsurfing to connect with people who could help with a place to sleep in each city. After 3 months of preparation, we kicked off the tour in October 2017, traveling from New York to Miami, across the West Coast, and back to New York. Over two months, we played around 35 shows— it was an amazing and unique experience.
Why I’m Bringing the Tour Back
After living in New York for six years, I returned to Portugal in 2018, and since then, I’ve been working non-stop in my studio. I’ve released music online, but there’s been something missing—the direct connection with people that live shows bring.
I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by constantly working in the studio, and while I love making music, I miss that human connection and energy of performing live. That’s when the idea of reviving the Make It Change Tour hit me again. I’ve grown and learned a lot since 2017, and I know I will make this tour even better now. Back then, I had Laurelle with me, a car, we both had some extra money ourselves, and we were able to get some more through crowdfunding. Now, it’s just me planning and working on everything all by myself, and then traveling and performing also by myself. With greater clarity and focus, I can now make decisions without depending on anyone else, and I’m determined to make this happen, better than ever!
The Meaning Behind “Make It Change”
The name “Make It Change” comes from a quote that resonated with me while watching the movie The Samaritan with Samuel L. Jackson: “If you keep on doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep on being what you’ve always been. Nothing changes unless you make it change.” That line hit me hard and became a mantra for how I approach life. The tour embodies that spirit—taking control of life, pushing its boundaries, and making important changes.
The Plan for 2025
I’ve been sketching out the route, starting in Lisbon and moving through Europe. My goal is to be on the road for three and a half months, traveling and connecting with people through my music. When I return to Portugal, I plan to expand beyond Europe and take the tour worldwide. This time around, I’ll be performing with my project Sir Giant, a fusion of reggae, rock, and ska, but who knows? Maybe I’ll even plan another tour later on with my other projects.
What is The Tour All About?
The Make It Change Tour is about more than just music—it’s about reconnecting with ourselves and our dreams, stepping outside our comfort zone, and making meaningful changes in life. I’m excited to see and share where this journey takes me, hoping it inspires you to go out there and Make It Change!
